Mockup just to be a simple theme to show all the elements and regions of Drupal facilitating the process to build a website. It was perfect to use during the development process of a website. Now, Mockup has a simpler and cleaner style, and improved navigation elements throughout the theme. It also has complete support for Castorcito contrib module and basic styles to cover elements for the Drupal Commerce module
Mockup has an additional appearance when you choose the option of "Mockup" in the theme settings (Appearance > Library selection > Choose appearance), this changes the style of the site, and becomes similar to the old Mockup theme. It shows a different look and feel, like a sheet of paper from a notebook. It's very useful for sitebuilding when you're only using mockups as a reference, because it lets you easily visualize the spaces and regions of Drupal.
Some projects will need a design to create a custom theme and this can be a long process. To accelerate the process to build a website, you can use this theme "out of the box" and if you really like it you can keep it.
